Evening routine

Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start!

Supermama is back to talk to you about her evening routine, while holding baby Lizzie in her hand. 👶

What happens after dinner is done? I turn into a full-time mom, once again. Hubby and I clear off the table, while Ali and Lizzie are spending time bonding as sisters. 😍

Daddy and daughters play and have fun, while I load the dishwasher, prepare the baby's formula for the night, and fill the bedside water bottles. Then, it's my turn to play with my babies, while hubby cleans the table surface, and vacuums around the dinner table. Thank you, hubby, for all your help! 😁 We head upstairs for bath time, which Ali and Lizzie both love, and this makes life really easy. Hubby and I both bathe 1 child each. This includes applying lotion, and putting on pajamas and making the hair. Dirty clothes go into the laundry right after bath time is done. Ali knows that she needs to help with putting dirty laundry in the basket after bath 👌

Then, it is book reading time. We pick 5 books from different authors to teach the kids different styles of writing and sketching. On some days I do the reading, and on others my hubby does the reading with the kids. He is a Disney fan, so he tends to pick Disney books. I am not so much of a Disney fan, so I pick non-Disney books. The books he reads to them include Frozen, Stories for 2, and as of late, Activities for Toddlers. The books I read to them include Goodnight Moon, I Will Always Love You, and 5 Ways to Reach Financial Freedom. 💲💰 He tends to do more of the lets move and jump type of fun, 🎭 and I am more of the lets sit in peace and paint, type of fun. 🎨

After 15 minutes of reading and 10 minutes of talking, the kids are ready to go to sleep. They sleep on either side of me, as I narrate stories of my childhood, some true and some made-up. As long as the stories teach them a moral, and helps, especially Ali, channel her emotions, and teaches her how to communicate her need for time and space to process her emotions. 🙇

The kids fall asleep, and I head on to my routines after that. Each night I have a set of different tasks, but one of them is always focused on me or us (my marriage), and the other tasks is decluttering! More on the details of these in the next blog simply because baby Lizzie is crying and needs some soothing from supermama. 💞
