Wake Up!
Good Morning loves!
Super Mama has had a fantabulous start to her day today 😁
To continue from my blog yesterday, I will talk about my family's morning routine today.
My toddler, Ali, wakes up with my husband, and I get a call from the upstairs bedroom, while the baby, Lizzie, is still sleeping. I take my toddler to the bathroom and we finish our ablutions followed by "this is the way we brush our teeth, wash our face, this morning" routine song.
Ali and I walk downt o the kitchen on out tippy-toes, because it is just plain fun to balance down the stairs on your tippy toes! Try it, and you will see it is fun when you also turn it into a race of "let's see who loses balance first", and super mama here always loses to Ali doll.
Since breakfast has already been prepared by Super Mama, we head straight to the dining table. I bring over her breakfast and a glass of milk. Today we had oatmeal with raisins, cashews, dried dates and almonds. As per Ali, she had spoonfuls of the good stuff! Oh and our Tou-tou the Toucan is always with us, whether it is the snowy mountains or the beach...Hahaha. I love this toucan, probably a little more than Ali doll herself. 💕
It is a challenge to feed Ali. So, we are drawing and eating, or reading and eating. Today, we chose to read Jack and Bean Stalk. The routine is that I read one page, and she eats 2 spoonfuls of the food served. It takes about 20-30 minutes to go through the full breakfast cycle.
Pretty much everyday, as soon as I finish the breakfast routine with Ali, I hear baby Lizzie wake up. So Ali and I head upstairs to the bedroom, and we all sing a song together that I wrote, "Open your eyes, the sun is on rise, it's a very good morning. Brush your teeth, wash your face, comb your hair, and sieze the day. Carpe Diem!". While all of this is going on, my hubby is still in the bathroom - not sure what he is doing in there - but to each their own. 💁
Anyhoo, I change the baby's diaper, clean her gums and we head down to have breakfast. Lizzie is a fast eater, and when she sees food, she's just like GO! She is done with her breakfast in less than 10 minutes. To give you an idea, Lizzie ate 10 teaspoons of oatmeal with 7 ounces of formula, while Ali ate 10 tablespoons of oatmeal with 4 ounces of cow's milk.
Next, we go upstairs to getting Ali dressed for daycare. During this time, Lizzie is playing with her teething toys and hubby is having his breakfast. Shortly after, hubby and Ali leave for the daycare while Lizzie continues playing with her toys, and I sign-on into work. I have a meeting with the fabrication facotry, everyday, at 8 a.m. 🏭
My meeting gets done by 8:30 a.m., hubby is back from the daycare and is signing-on into work, and the baby is readyto go down for a nap. So far since morning I was a full-time mom, and after 8:00 a.m. I become a full-time scienitst and a full-time mom.
What did you think of my morning routine? What does your morning look like? Tell me what you would love to do, or what more do you want to add into your morning routines? Share your thoughts! May be I can learn soemthing new, or change things around in my routine!
Until then, have a good day, and talk to y'all tomorrow 😘
