Weekend Trip Planning

Hello my online family! The weather has been amazing in the valley here in Hillsboro, Oregon. It's so gorgeous outside I did not feel like sitting in front of my computer and typing. 😁 We went to a toddler friends birthday party on Saturday morning. We had lots of cake! Then we went to a baby gender reveal party. Our friends are having a BOY! We had lots of cake there, too! After all that intake of calories, we decided to do some skiing and snowshoeing on Mout Hood, which is where we spent our Sunday. Ali tried the skiis for the second time this season. And she loved them and enjoyed it so mcuh! Lizzie tried walking in the snow, and did some rollie pollies! Unlike Ali, Lizzie loved the snow! I remember when Ali was a baby, and we brought her to Mout Hood at the same age as Lizzie, and Ali just spent the entire day crying. She was not a fan of the cold and the snow. Things have changed for the better, since then, in her relationship with the snow and the cold. I guess, after all, l...

Mental Well-Being

Hello all! Coming back after a days break.  I needed to take care of my health: - Get the pap smear test - Get an appointment for a screening mamogram because I have been a breast feeding mother in the past 4 years, back to back.  Speaking of health, we often neglect our mental health. Moms are expected to do it all, and in some cultures are shamed upon if they ask for help. In all cases, you need a support system, whether be it in the house, your social circle, or a complete outsider.  If you have read any of my previous blogs, you know that I take care of a lot of things in my home, and I just don't mean furniture, but more importantly, my kids. If you are new, go on and read my previous blogs to get a sense of how I would need to remain calm and mom on, to keep my life together.  While my physical health gets taken care of in many ways, for my mental health, I rely on the Calm app, and on my therapist. If anybody you know has given birth to a child, you should ack...

Evening routine

Image
Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! Supermama is back to talk to you about her evening routine, while holding baby Lizzie in her hand. 👶 What happens after dinner is done? I turn into a full-time mom, once again. Hubby and I clear off the table, while Ali and Lizzie are spending time bonding as sisters. 😍 Daddy and daughters play and have fun, while I load the dishwasher, prepare the baby's formula for the night, and fill the bedside water bottles. Then, it's my turn to play with my babies, while hubby cleans the table surface, and vacuums around the dinner table. Thank you, hubby, for all your help! 😁 We head upstairs for bath time, which Ali and Lizzie both love, and this makes life really easy. Hubby and I both bathe 1 child each. This includes applying lotion, and putting on pajamas and making the hair. Dirty clothes go into the laundry right after bath time is done. Ali knows that she needs to help with putting dirty laundry in the basket after bath 👌 ...

Hello achievers! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I went out to Mt.Hood on Saturday. It was raining, and a bit slushy, but it was fun! What did you do over the weekend?  I will share in another blog with you what I do on the weekends 🌝, and my Sunday routine!!! What a fine start to the week, it has been! Has it not? How has Monday morniong treated you? We had cereal and milk for breakfast, making it an easy peasy start to the day. Check out my reel here !  So, to continue on my previous blog, work goes on as the afternoon goes by, and my second break comes upon me. Breaks are automatically triggered on my work computer based on he number of hours the mouse and screen remain active. I have to take this break or it gets flagged an non-compliance, which, I am sure no one in the service industry ever wants - an awkward conversation with your manager on being non-compliant with company policy 😓. This is what I a mean by screen freezing over when it is break time: So, i...

Do Your Chores

Good Morning Y'all! Wow! We made it to Friday morning! Happy Women's Day to all the wonderful women out there - you have the strength, you have the power and you know you can do what you set your mind to! Thank you mom, for showing me that the strength of a woman lies in so many small nuances, and for showing me that the baggage that women had to carry in previous generations no longer holds true. It is because of this attitude that I can confidently raise my two girls in very non-traditional ways and I sincerely hope I never burden them with societal tasks that have been categorized as "women's tasks" as they turn into women in an ever-changing society!                          I left off yesterday's blog promising to share with you what I do during my lunch break. So, here I am.  Let's be honest - Corporate America does not have lunch breaks. You can block off a time on your calendar and do ...

Working Mom

Good morning lovely people! I had a slightly early start this morning because today I chose to add medidation to my workout routine. A 10-minute medidation clip from Calm called Kintsugi by Tamara Levitt surely added value to my workout. I felt a clarity struck my brain which is otherwise a bit clouded with multiple thoughts rushing through almost all at once! Once my morning routine is complete, I take on the role of a full-time scientist and a full-time mom! 💪 As soon as the clock hits 8:00 a.m., I am at my work desk, doing what my works asks of me. Mainly it includes analyzing data 📊 from a lot of DOEs that are run on innovating the structure and function of semiconductor chips used in laptops. A good portion of my jon also includes making sure material goes thorugh the different operations in the fabrication factory without any hiccups. And if something were to go wrong, which they almost always do, because there are so many moving parts to making a laptop chip, I am calle...

Wake Up!

Good Morning loves! Super Mama has had a fantabulous start to her day today 😁 To continue from my blog yesterday, I will talk about my family's morning routine today.  My toddler, Ali, wakes up with my husband, and I get a call from the upstairs bedroom, while the baby, Lizzie, is still sleeping. I take my toddler to the bathroom and we finish our ablutions followed by "this is the way we brush our teeth, wash our face, this morning" routine song.  Ali and I walk downt o the kitchen on out tippy-toes, because it is just plain fun to balance down the stairs on your tippy toes! Try it, and you will see it is fun when you also turn it into a race of "let's see who loses balance first", and super mama here always loses to Ali doll.  Since breakfast has already been prepared by Super Mama, we head straight to the dining table. I bring over her breakfast and a glass of milk. Today we had oatmeal with raisins, cashews, dried dates and almonds. As per Ali, she had ...
